Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Calamos, Macquarie AM, Raymond James

Calamos Wealth Management, the wealth management division of Calamos Investments, has added two senior advisory figures.

Gregory Whitehead and Tony Oommen have joined as senior vice presidents and MDs. Whitehead and Oommen will lead the firm's Northeast and Midwest practices, respectively.

"Both bring extensive experience leading teams and deep expertise in wealth planning, investment management, and philanthropic strategies,” Joe Weidenbach, head of Calamos Wealth Management, said.

Whitehead brings more than 18 years’ financial services experience, most recently serving as director of wealth management for the Greater Metro Region at Charles Schwab, where he led wealth management operations across New York City, New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Michigan. He is a Certified Wealth Strategist and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor.

Oommen has more than 27 years of experience serving high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients across wealth management models. Most recently, he served as a wealth management advisor for Fidelity Private Wealth Management. He is a Certified Financial Planner, Certified Private Wealth Advisor, and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy. Oommen maintains an active presence in Chicago's advisory and philanthropic communities, serving on many professional and philanthropic boards. 

With more than $46 billion in AuM, as of September 30, the firm offers strategies through ETFs, mutual funds, closed-end funds, interval funds, UCITS funds and separately managed portfolios. It is headquartered in the Chicago metropolitan area.

Macquarie Asset Management
Macquarie Asset Management has appointed three senior figures to join its wealth business. It is also partnering with iCapital, the fintech platform for alternative investments. 

The new appointees are Crista Demasi, head of the US strategic relationships group; Debra Probst, the global head of wealth channel marketing; and Danielle Hickey, director of platform development, private markets solutions. 

With over 30 years of experience in financial services, Demasi was previously at Invesco, where she served as head of strategic accounts for the wires and global banks. 

Probst has served for a 30-year tenure at PGIM Investments, most recently serving as the global head of client marketing. 

Hickey has worked for more than 20 years in alternative investments. She is joining from Nuveen, where she led private market solutions marketing and broadened syndication across broker-dealers, RIAs, banks, and fintech platforms.

Specializing in areas such as infrastructure investment, Macquarie Asset Management looks after more than $218.7 billion in such assets.

In total, the firm – part of Australia-listed Macquarie Group – oversees $622 billion in assets.

Raymond James 
Dupont Kirven has joined the independent advisor channel of Raymond James, in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The advisor was previously at Edward Jones for 17 years where he managed approximately $200 million in client assets. Kirven operates as Kirven Wealth Management and advises clients including business owners, endowments, corporate executives, families and individuals. He is joined by senior client service associate Lori Craft.

Kirven began his financial services career in 1998.
